Guillaume Gasana

Professor Guillaume Gasana PhD, is an associate professor at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the National University of Rwanda School of Public Health (NURSPH). He is a Professor Agrégé of Epidemiology and is an epidemiologist specialist in Public health. He currently teaches epidemiology at the NURSPH. As Former Senior Director and faculty of medicine at the Regional Center of Training in Public Health in the Congo, Dr. Gasana has strong experience in the fight against tropical diseases, management of epidemics and epidemiologic monitoring, including the training of doctors in Public health. His research relates in particular to control of great tropical endémies and in the fight against mortality in the tropical countries. Dr. Gasana is currently involved in research on the AIDS, especially in the aspects of the reduction of the infant and maternal mortality in Rwanda.
