Jean de Dieu
BIZIMANA is an assistant lecturer and the primary computer lab
advisor at the National University of Rwanda’s School of Public Health
(NUR/SPH). Mr. Bizimana received his BS in applied mathematics
and MSc in International development with concentration in
Biostatistics. He is currently a PhD student at Tulane University’s
School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine with a concentration is
Biostatistics. Mr. Bizimana’s recent research activities include
supervising a large-scale panel study of child-headed households in
four districts in Rwanda. He has been actively involved in finalizing a
research activity assessing sexual and gender-based violence in
post-conflict Rwanda. His current research projects include an impact
assessment of adult mentors’ participation in supporting orphans and
vulnerable children (OVC) in terms of their own wellbeing, stress,
motivation and retention. Mr. Bizimana will soon be the lead faculty
member for GIS research and training at NUR/SPH. Mr. Bizimana speaks
French, English, and Kinyarwanda.
